Hearing loss is a lot more common than one would think. According to the World Health Organization, there are more than 466 million people worldwide with disabling hearing loss, and this is a staggering figure, but what is more concerning is that if unmanaged, this figure is expected to rise to over 900 million by the year 2050!
September is Hearing Awareness month. During this month, the importance of hearing and regular hearing assessments will be advocated by Audiologists around the country.
